LaVon Goodson (1st Grade) Miss Goodson graduated from Navajo High School in 2014. She attended Western Oklahoma State College and graduated with an Associateís degree in Liberal Arts. She then moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma where she graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelorís of Science in Elementary Education. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and two pups.

Millie Banks (4th grade)Mrs. Banks grew up and graduated from Duncan, OK. She attended SWOSU and Cameron University. She has taught in Frederick, Indiahoma, and Tipton. She is married to Les Banks, the pastor at FBC Tipton. They have one daughter and one son and three grandchildren. Her favorite pastime activities are watching the grand kids play basketball and baseball, attending church activities, baking cookies, reading, and watching OU women's softball.

Carolyn Allen (High School, Computers, Financial Literacy, Yearbook, Newspaper) Mrs. Allen graduated from Star Spencer High School in Oklahoma City and then attended SWOSU where she received her degree in Business.  She has been teaching at Olustee since 1981.  Mrs. Allen is married to Frank and they have 4 daughters, Ty, Shawn, Bridget and La Kasta.  Seven grandchildren:  Harland and Haize; Dalton and Reagan, Brookelynne, Emiley, and Andrew.  Mrs. Allen loves spending time with her grandkids and riding and training horses.  She is always going to a barrel race, a playday, basketball, soccer, baseball and softball games.

Gaylene Freeman (Language Arts) Mrs. Freeman attended WOSC and Cameron University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education and a Master's in Behavioral Science.  She also obtained certifications as a Library Media Specialist, Secondary Principal, and Superintendent.  She began her teaching career in 1983 at Southside School and remained there until its closure in 1991.  At that time, she transferred to Olustee School and has proudly served the district for 21 years.  She is married to Danny and has two children, Amber and Seth, and one grandson, Kastin.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, drawing, and hiking.

Eagle Fixico (Social Studies/Boys Sports) Eagle Fixico graduated from Cameron University in 2004.  He has been coaching and teaching at Olustee Public Schools since then.  Coach Fixico enjoys coaching the Eagles for basketball and baseball.  He led the Eagle's baseball team to the State Tournament four consecutive times.

Matthew Whitaker (Social Studies) Mr. Whitaker graduated from Navajo High School in 2002.  He went on to continue his education at WOSC and got an associate's degree in History before continuing on to OSU and getting a bachelors degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Studies.  He began his teaching career in Wellston, Ok in 2007 before coming to Olustee in 2011.  He married his high school girl friend, Kendra, during his last year of college at OSU.  In his spare time, he enjoys working on the family farm, helping out with school activities, and playing golf.


  Anna Everhart (Math) Mrs. Everhart graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1989.  She went on to continue her education at SWOSU in Weatherford.  In 1993, she received her degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.  She began her teaching career in Eldorado in 1997 before coming to Olustee in 2010.  She married Joe in 1991 and has two sons, Kenneth and Kaden and one daughter, Kyla and 2 stepsons, Tim and Chris.

Margie Fixico (English/Spanish) Mrs. Fixico is a 1983 high school graduate from Olustee High School.  She has been an avid Eagle fan for many years.  She received her associates in applied science from Western Oklahoma State College, Bachelor of Arts in English from Cameron University with a minor in romance language and she has a Masters of Education in Library Media from East Central University.  She is married to Coach Eagle Fixico and the proud mother of four and grandmother of one, all boys.  She enjoys watching two of them play ball while Coach Fixico coaches them.

Bill Simpson (Science) William David (Bill) Simpson was born in Frederick, OK and grew up on the family farm near Grandfield, OK. He graduated from Grandfield and attended Cameron University and OU. He is certified in both Oklahoma and Texas and has taught in a wide range of schools from rural to inner city urban schools. He has been involved in research and teaching at OU for over 30 years. He has three sons: Sean, Josh, and Ryan. Mr. Simpson enjoys playing golf, singing in church, and attending college and professional athletic events. Mr. Simpson is our new Jr.High and High School Science teacher.

Janice Reynolds  


Janice Reynolds attended WOSC where she received her associates degree in business.  She began working at the Olustee School in 1987.  She is married to Arlin.  She has two children, Debbie and Tracy.  Arlin has three children, Bev, Rhonda, and Jeff.  They have 10 grandchildren.  In her spare time, she enjoy going to sporting events.


Debbie Brown, Candy Ferguson, Alyssa Lopez


Mrs. Brown has been working at the Olustee School for 18 years.  She is married to Paul Brown.  She has two daughters, Brooke, and Darian and three grandchildren, Channing, Jaden, and Cooper.

Veronica Lopez has lived in Olustee for 21 years. She graduated from Altus High School. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, reading, and being outdoors as much as possible.
